Our next episode of Shining Light on Shadows will focus on Boundaries. There are so many different ways to approach this issue. Boundaries at home, at work, with friends, with strangers. Sometimes we need to have very strong boundaries to protect ourselves. Sometimes, we might opt to drop our boundaries (or have weak ones). Patricia Croom will be our guest. What are your thoughts on boundaries?

Episode 32 of “Shining Light on Shadows: A Candid Conversation About Mental Health” will be live Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT / 4 p.m. PT. If you can’t watch the live show feel free to watch the recording on the same links.

*We won't know the exact urls for Twitter and Instagram until we go live. For now, these links go to Neil's Twitter and Dawn's Instagram.

Our setup will be a little different. I’ll be in Milwaukee in the same room as Dawn. We’ll be hosted by Candace Sanchez. I’m in town for the Paths to Healing Conference she is organizing for survivors of sexual assault. Digimentors is one of the sponsors. Dawn and I are hosting a workshop on how this podcast has helped us in our own journeys.

Programming Notes

Although we are usually live the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, we are not hosting a show on July 10. We’ll be back Thursday, July 24.

Previous Episode

Ep. 31 featured Jonathan Boorstein, talking about ageism in the delivery of mental health services to seniors.

Background

Dawn and I launched this twice a month show (the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month) in order to help reduce the stigma associated with mental health. Thank you for being part of our community.

We are proud to be in Year 2 of the show. If you are interested in being a guest on the show or know someone who might be interested, please let us know. We’re looking for people who would be willing to share their story, advocates and people who work in the field of mental health.

We hope you can watch the show and share your own thoughts in the comments.

“Shining Light on Shadows: A Candid Conversation About Mental Health” is produced by Digimentors on a pro bono basis.
